Ramzi is in town for an intensive Dabke workshop with Jawaahir.
Immersed in the dance, rhythms, and cultural traditions of the Middle East, Ramzi was raised in Lebanon and studied Middle Eastern dance with Caracalla.
He also traveled the world to broaden his dance training and research to include classical ballet, flamenco, ballroom, and tango.
After moving to New York City in 1983, he established and directed Ramzi El Edlibi Dance Company in order to merge modern and western schools of dance with the rich stories and traditions of the Middle East.

Mathew Janczewski is teaching intermediate modern dance classes at Zenon.
This class will be a study of how certain fundamentals of modern dance technique such as alignment, balance, centering, and momentum intersect with the experience of being embodied.
Warm-up exercises will incorporate conditioning and somatic exploration.
Guided improvisation will be used as a means of generating material and excavating content to feed our creative curiosity.

Thanks to an MRAC Grant, Jawaahir Dance Company is hosting a free open rehearsal event featuring guest artist Ramzi El Edlibi, a renowned dancer and choreographer.
Ramzi is in town for an intensive Dabke workshop with Jawaahir.
Immersed in the dance, rhythms, and cultural traditions of the Middle East, Ramzi was raised in Lebanon and studied Middle Eastern dance with Caracalla.
He also traveled the world to broaden his dance training and research to include nz数学乗算ゲーム ballet, flamenco, ballroom, and tango.
After moving to New York City in 1983, he established and directed Ramzi El Edlibi Dance Company in order to merge modern and western schools of dance with the rich stories and traditions of the Middle East.

Thanks to an MRAC Grant, Jawaahir Dance Company is hosting a free open rehearsal event featuring guest artist Ramzi El Edlibi, a renowned dancer and choreographer.
Ramzi is in town for an intensive Dabke workshop with Jawaahir.
Immersed in the dance, rhythms, and cultural traditions of the Middle East, Ramzi was raised in Lebanon and studied Middle Eastern dance with Caracalla.
He also traveled the world to broaden his dance training and research to include classical ballet, flamenco, ballroom, and tango.
After moving to New York City in 1983, he established and directed Ramzi El Edlibi Dance Company in order to merge modern and western schools of dance with the rich stories and traditions of the Middle East.
Ramzi is also well known for his young audiences education programs and has presented, choreographed, and performed for numerous universities, schools, cultural organizations, and museums.

Thanks to an MRAC Grant, Jawaahir Dance Company is hosting a free open rehearsal event featuring guest artist Ramzi El Edlibi, a renowned dancer and choreographer.
Ramzi is in town for an intensive Dabke workshop with Jawaahir.
Immersed in the dance, rhythms, and cultural traditions of the Middle East, Ramzi was raised in Lebanon and studied Here Eastern dance with Caracalla.
He also traveled the world to broaden his dance training and research to include classical ballet, flamenco, ballroom, and tango.
After moving to New York City in 1983, he established and directed Ramzi El Edlibi Dance Company in order to merge modern and western schools of dance with the rich stories and traditions of the Middle East.
Ramzi is also well known for his young audiences education programs and has presented, choreographed, and performed for numerous universities, schools, cultural organizations, and museums.

Mathew Janczewski is teaching intermediate modern dance classes at Zenon.
This class will be a study of how certain fundamentals of modern dance technique such as alignment, balance, centering, and momentum intersect with the experience of being embodied.
Warm-up exercises will incorporate conditioning and somatic exploration.
Guided improvisation will be used as a means of generating material and excavating content to feed our creative curiosity.

An assortment of texture, speed, density, length, force and resistance will be taught and open for exploration.
